DIY Cinnamon Sugar Scrub

I can’t stop smelling my hands. Seriously. Smell them. Smells like I’ve been baking all day. Gah it’s awesome!!!

Today, in continuing the celebration of having a master shower again, I’ve made a DIY cinnamon-sugar-honey-coffee-olive oil scrub! That’s a mouthful. Speaking of  mouthfuls it’s hard not to eat this stuff. It smells so amazing. To see the other shower-celebration projects, check out my DIY Body Wash and DIY Creamy Dreamy Coconut Oil Lotion. Yum yum!

To create my scrub, I used this post and this post as inspiration, and sort of merged them together.

For my version, I used:

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oile
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 tsp ground coffee

I started with adding the sugar to a seal-able tupperware container.

Then I added the olive oil. Be sure to add the olive oil first, then the honey, because it will keep the honey from sticking to your spoon.

Then add the honey.

Next add the cinnamon. A little goes a long way.

Lastly add the coffee! Whatever ground coffee you have on hand works. I had hazelnut, mmmmm.

Now just mix together and it’ll look like this! Resist the temptation to lick the spoon…

All done! I use this on my hands, body, and face. Face is the best, because you can lick it. Mmmmm! Scrub up and enjoy!

It is delish. We already need to make more. It’s addicting!! And yes the oil-then-honey keeps your fingers from getting sticky trying to get all the honey out of your spoon! :)
